Once I hit 50 yrs old, it seemed no diet worked anymore..even low calorie and exercise… until HCG.
I took HCG in June 2016 for 2 months, lost 20 lbs and kept it off without any work, or problem…until of course, I went on a complete eating binge this winter when I had a live-in guest that I needed to cook for and join in late dinners all winter….otherwise, I was able to keep it off with a moderate incremental calorie increase over time.
My experience with taking the HCG was great! I was not sure going into it, for I have always been afraid of needles..and the thought of ‘self-injecting’ had me a bag of nerves….UNTIL I actually did it the first time around! Then I realized it was easy and nothing..it became second nature, to wake and inject! I loved it because the HCG FEELS SO GOOD! lost my midday ‘tiredness’, I had tons of energy and my mood was always, ALWAYS very high and happy…Which thank God it was, so it kept my mind off of how hungry I would get! haha
Which brings me to the calorie cut, and hunger. They say it is the low-calorie intake that causes the weight loss, not the HCG. And that was proven right by me, and others I know were on it at the same time. For when if I increased my calories too much, the weight loss immediately slowed down or stopped altogether! So ‘cheating’ is a NO! It will completely sabotage the whole diet! Especially because we are not on it long enough for the body temperature to get used to the lower calorie intake. So after the initial weight loss and I reached the end of the HCG (2 months), I had to keep the very low-calorie count for a couple more months, where I kept losing a little bit, but also gave my body time to ‘catch up’ to its new weight!.
What the HCG did do for me was bring me into the best hormonal balance I have felt in years! And even though, at first it doesn’t curb hunger, it does curbe the appetite after you are on it for 2 weeks at the right amount…then I was not hungry at all..I am not sure it has a ‘build up’ to it..but truly after 2-3 weeks, there was no hunger..I felt the key, was to be on the right amount, where as our metabolism age etc vary the outcome, etc. Also, It most definitely preserves muscle! I DID see a significant change in my body composition.
My exercise routine was walking the beach daily about 4 miles a day, and/or I used my trampoline..”JumpSport” combined with a shorter walk..the size of my legs and lower body reduced beautifully… and I know it was with the added benefit of the HCG, for I have been down to that weight before and was not as small.
I lost 6 lbs in the first week, and then 1.5 lbs per week after that, although 1 week, I lost nothing. So again, caloric intake, and the time of day which we eat, and the breakdown of calories all make a difference.
I started on a 500 calorie diet..125 fruit/snack…125 veggies…150 protein…but found I needed more protein (12 oz vs 7 oz the suggested amount)..so I traded off the fruit in am for egg whites with veggies, and varied my calorie intake between 500- 600 depending on how hungry I was feeling..Once you get it down, it is an easy diet !!
This HCG does more than we know, and it’s the only diet that has worked for me in many years, since menopause.
